"REALITY CHECK DAY" Bring the Reality of adult financial responsibilities to life in a day of experiments with personal economic possibilities.
Shifts are Morning 8a-11a / Afternoon 11:30a-2:00p @ Portales High School Gym
RESPOND to both for ALL DAY
You will be the "Landlord" or the "Banker" or the "Boss" or the "Social Worker" or "Food Pantry Volunteer" the as teens navigate a simulated "month in the life" of adults making their way ...on their own.
This Reality Check Day consists of two simulations Mad City Money and Community Action Poverty Simulation.
Adults are needed to role play the different characters that students will encounter as they try to manage the financial life they have been assigned.
A Reality Check Day t-shirt will be provided and NEW volunteers will be offered training for their roles.
Full Day Volunteers will be fed lunch! Feel free to bring your lidded drink to this event.
Training: A Reality Check Day Overview Packet will be emailed out for your review. On-site we will give hints and tricks and answer any questions.
Not to worry, it's a fun day with no special expertise required!
