PRMC Hospice is looking for volunteers who have effective communication skills and empathetic hearts to be hospice volunteers. Providing companionship and support to patients and families is vital to the care of hospice patients. Activities like playing cards, crafting, or watching TV together are common. For those who have served in the military, sharing experiences with other veterans is important. We participate in the We Honor Veterans program. Volunteers must go through processing and training on goals of hospice and their roles. Contact Cheryl Henry, LBSW at 575-769-7399 (PRMC Hospice) for more information.

The Quay County Health Council is looking for people that like to create Social Media posts to help us create health information posts in Canva.  The committee meets monthly on the last Tuesday at 3:00 pm over Zoom.  Participants volunteer for posts that they would like to create.  This meeting is over Zoom and participant will need to be able to access the internet for the Canva program.

The Council is a group of volunteers interested in the health of the people living in Quay County.  They are a planning council that looks at data, sets priorities and brings people together to work on selected health issues and bring in resources through a variety of methods.  Everyone is welcome to be at the table to discuss their health challenges and solutions.  The Council meets monthly to look at the overall picture and deal with the operations of the Council.  Each month there is a resource or information presentation and an opportunity for those in attendance to share.  The in-person meeting is at the Extension Office at 216 E Center Street and there is a zoom option.  Meetings are the 2nd Thursday of each month from 11:30 to 1:00 pm.  To request a zoom link email qchealthcouncil@gmail.com.  Most of the work of the Council is done in committees which report monthly to the Council.

Arise Sexual Assault Services and Child Advocacy Center serves survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse throughout seven counties in Eastern New Mexico. Volunteer victim advocates staff our 24/7 hotline and provide advocacy over the phone and in person. 

Volunteers must meet with the Advocate Coordinator prior to completing the 40-hour victim advocacy training hosted by Arise. Advocates must also comply with Roosevelt General Hospital's personnel requirements (including fingerprinting and urine screening), a 6-month minimum commitment with 72 hours of on-call every month, and attend monthly meetings.

Arise hosts several volunteer victim advocacy trainings every year, and we are always in need of volunteers!

Mental Health Resources is needing hygiene item donations for our CareLink NM members in need. We are accepting donations for toothbrushes, tooth paste, dental floss, mouthwash, cotton swabs, deodorant, razors, nail clippers, baby wipes, shampoo & conditioner, feminine hygiene products, toilet paper, lotion, soap bars, body wash, etc. Help us create hygiene packs to help promote good health and sanitation. Any donation is greatly appreciated, thanks!

ROCMAN and STORY CHANGERS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY wants volunteers who will "dive" into the world of teenagers and help them become the hero in their own story. We are launching a new After-School Program called STORY CHANGERS! Our mission is to equip and empower students with the social and emotional leadership skills necessary for their success in the real world. Meal delivery typically takes only about 45 minutes.  Meals on Wheels provides meals every day and you let us know what days you are available.

Volunteer drivers pick up the meals and route information at PRMC at 10:45 a.m.

Monarch Formals is reaching out for volunteers interested in being a part of serving our community.  Monarch Formals mission is to ensure every individual has the perfect attire for their formal event. We are expanding and growing and NEED your help to continue to sustain our program.

We have a greater goal this year to increase volunteerism, increase funding so we can maintain the garments, and begin some desired programming and events. With rent, utilities, dry cleaning and repairing garments we quickly run out of our limited funds. With our continued growth in the High Plains, we continuously have needs for our appointment schedules and open hours.  We have some fundraising ideas, and mentoring programs we would like to launch. With your help with can real our goals. Please join us in this movement and help our organization reach its goals, expand and grow.

Veteran Volunteers to provide patient support to those that have served in the military.

We are looking for individuals that can help with the children that are in the shelter.  Looking for people who can help with homework and possible arts and crafts while parent is in group sessions. 

Background check through CYFD is mandatory.  Contact office for more information.

Hartley House  needs a volunteer to come to the office on Main Street to help organize the donation closet for us.   We are looking for someone who can come in 2-3 times a week for a 2 hours to help with all the wonderful donations that we receive.

MHR is looking for canned food donations for our clients in need. Give back to your community and help fight hunger.

Lasso your little travel sized goodies and send them our way.  These items are needed to complete hygiene packs that we give away here at Matt 25.  We can also use full size donations as well.

 Much appreciation for your help in looking out for the basic hygiene needs for those in need of these consumables that are not covered by Food Stamps, but are very necessary in everyday dignity of feeling good about oneself and looking forward to things like job interviews, etc.  

Hi, Do you know how to pull apart a bike?  And more importantly...do you know how to put one back together?  People in our community need bicycles to get to job interviews, and to maintain employment.  

 If you have some time, and would love to be involved with this ministry of getting usable bicycles to adults in need, we would greatly appreciate your time and skills.
