At United Way of Eastern New Mexico, we believe that a stronger and more resilient community is possible if our young people graduate high school with the skills needed to pursue further education--whether an academic degree or trade or certificate program.

Eastern New Mexico faces a profound challenge to its economic vitality and future. In today’s global economy, our region’s success depends more than ever on the skills of our workforce. Yet too many of our young people are not prepared for the workplace and careers needed by our communities. Their lack of skills not only impacts their own chance at success in life, it threatens our region and our nation’s future prosperity.

In fall 2018, the #YouthSuccess Taskforce was created to explore how our two counties might work across all sectors (business, education, government, non-profit, and faith) to IMPACT the future success of our young people.
