United Way of Eastern New Mexico is accepting applications for membership on the Board of Directors--should live or work in the county named for the position.
The UWENM Board of Directors is responsible for setting the goals and strategies for UW activities, grants, and initiatives in Curry, Roosevelt, Quay, De Baca Counties, hiring and overseeing the Executive Director, setting the budget, championing UW throughout our community, ensuring adequate fundraising to support UW activities.
Once you submit your RESPONSE to this opportunity a Board Nomination Form will be emailed to you. It should be completed and returned ASAP.
Qualified applicants should:
- live or work in the county you will represent;
- value the programs, grants, and initiatives of UWENM;
- desire to grow UWENM effectiveness, visibility, and capacity in Curry/Roosevelt/Quay/De Baca Co.;
- be ready to devote energy and time to UWENM's mission to Unite Neighbors and Change Lives in Curry, Roosevelt, Quay, & De Baca counties.
Time commitment is approximately 3hr-6hr per month for three year term--depending on committee membership. Board Members typically serve 2 terms.
Board Meetings are the fourth Friday of each month from Noon to 1pm.Locations of Board Meetings: Jan-Clovis; Feb-Clovis; Mar-Portales; Apr-Tucumcari; May-Clovis; June-Portales; July-Clovis; Aug-Ft Sumner; Sep-Portales; Oct- Tucumcari; Nov-Clovis; Dec- Portales.
Committee meetings are set according to committee member availability.
